Great flavor
It is a little pricey but worth it. The bourbon adds a nice kick to it. I use a little to add flavor to my cakes , ice cream, I even use a dropper to add a little umpff to my coffee instead of using the flavored creamers.

This has been my favorite vanilla for years. I’ve tried a number of different types and brands, but always end up giving them away. Nielsen Massey Madagascar Bourbon has the rich, pure vanilla flavor that I love. Well worth the price.

Simply the best vanilla.
If you are a connoisseur of fine vanilla, get this. I love vanilla. I am very picky about my vanilla in my chai tea in the morning. I have tried to many different vanilla extracts. This is the vanilla I buy now. The other stuff is mostly alcohol or sugar added. This stuff is the real deal.

Nice for baking.
The product is great. However, it leaked. Thank goodness it was wrapped in a bubble wrapped bag so avoided soaking the box. Just ruined the label and lost some of the vanilla. Perhaps the heat had something to do with the lid not being tight. I would order again despite this mishap.

Only Vanilla I ever buy!
The cap is hard to get off once it’s opened. It smells wonderful, and has the perfect consistency!I use it in all my baking even if vanilla is not called for. I LOVE IT! It’s a big bottle and lasts a long time. It’s delicious and in French toast it kicks it up a knotch!

She who must be obeyed (my wife) uses this stuff to make the best homemade vanilla ice cream you’ll ever taste. This product isn’t cheap but it lasts as it’s pretty concentrated. You can’t beat the quality and flavor.

Hard to Pour Without Spilling
No matter how hard you try not to spill, the extract runs down the side of the bottle. I suppose it has something to do with the bottle design especially the rim. Example: It’s like trying to pour liquid from a pan or bowl without a tapered rim. It’s messy. So I went and purchased some 5oz “Woozy” bottles from Amazon with caps and inserts after reading that people were using them for their DIY extracts. I hope this resolves the “dribbling” issue with these extract bottles from Nielsen-Massey, which is in my opinion unacceptable for the price I paid to “flavor” my spill mats instead of my cookies. Nielsen-Massey need to figure out how to include a reducer/insert in their extract bottles to help prevent the dribbling/spillage issue.

I really do like the quality of this vanilla. The Nielsen-Massey Tahitian vanilla is also good, but for me it depends on use.The Tahitian I use for non-bake desserts and ice creams and the Madagascar I use for all my baking.

Jar not sealed
Jar was not sealed and lid was loose which caused it to leak out in box during shipping. Since it cannot be returned and because the seal was broken when I received it I feel I should receive another 8oz bottle of the Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla. I shouldn’t have to eat this cost.

My favorite vanilla
This is the best commercial vanilla I have worked with. I use this at work regularly, and have been using it for past 10 years. I noticed a big quality difference switching from other brands and I will not go back. I use both the vanilla extract and the vanilla paste. The vanilla bean paste will add the seeds/flecks to your product and it gives a nice aesthetic. They both taste good, but I think the extract is more potent.I typically prefer to use the Madagascar bourbon as a universal vanilla. They have other interesting beans as well that each have their own flavor profiles. Some are subtly floral (Tahitian) or a bit more bold (Mexican)Price point wise, this is one of the lowest prices I have found around for the 32 oz container. Good vanilla certainly costs but I find it to be worth.
