    Organic, not much less tart than current Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce, Whole Berry

    Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce, Whole Berry has always been my go to for strongest flavor and tartness. However, recently their output is less flavorful. On the other hand Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce, Whole Berry is not organic and cranberries have a reputation for heavy pesticide use.So gave these 365 Everyday Value, Organic Cranberries, Sweetened Dried since they are organic. One poster says these are sort of like raisins rather than tangy cranberries, and they are to a degree, but their taste is not much less tart than current Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce, Whole Berry.So if one wants organic cranberries for health benefits, these stack up pretty well.

    NOT Organic Cranberries

    I had an allergic reaction to these dried sweetened cranberries. I tested them twice to be certain. Somehow they seem to have been packaged with some form of corn starch. I tried to reach Whole Foods to ask about the processing. When a product may clump together in the bag, the empty bags are coated with corn starch to prevent clumping. ( This is especially true with organic chocolate chip cookies.). The reaction becomes more severe as the corn starch accumulates at the bottom of the bag.Technically not considered an ingredient, butstill very bad for corn allergies and sensitivity to anti fungal chemicals on corn products.

    Exceptionally sweet

    I absolutely love dried cranberries, especially in my oatmeal with blueberries. These were exceptionally sweet, not too dry, not too moist, and had plenty of flavor.

    Delicious with a chewy texture

    I tried Ocean Spray cranberries and was surprised by how different the textures were. Ocean Spray has a more ‘crisp,’ almost gelatinous chew, 365 has a more gummy, mushy chew. Depending on your personal texture preferences this may or may not appeal to you.I like these more.However, another thing to note is that these were *sweeter* than the regular Ocean Spray cranberries. For those of you watching your sugar intake or preferring a more tart bite to your cranberries, these are probably not for you.

    Good Flavor

    Purchased these in a crunch. Typically use unsweetened and prefer Trader’s Joes brand but these cranberries were on the larger side, which I like. They were sweetened, but not too sweet. Very moist and flavorful.

    So I have purchased two bags of these at different times so far. Each of the bags were very fresh, moist, and full of flavor. Some of them are clumped together somewhat which is a little annoying but it is fine

    These do not taste like cranberries because it is so sweet and sugary with no tart that you’d expect from cranberries. I would not buy this again.

    More added sugar than GUMMY BEARS

    These have 22g added sugar in a 40g serving, meaning 55% of this item by weight is added sugar. Haribo Goldbears meanwhile have 14g added sugar in a 30g serving, or 46.7% by weight. This is insanity.

    Sweet cranberries

    These cranberries are a great addition to cereal or baked good.s They were fresh, smelled great and were plump with a beautiful color. Only gave it 4 * because at the time I ordered I didn’t realize they had added sugar. Still a great snack though.

    My Favorite Cranberry Raisins

    These are my favorite dried cranberries. I’ve tried some other brands, but most of them have way too much sugar added and seem more like candy than dried fruit. These do have some sweetener added, but it’s much less. They taste great.

    Note that these are sweetened with sugar, and the taste is VERY sweet

    I didn’t notice that these are sweetened, but that’s my fault, it does say that on the package. But, even if you are okay with the added sugar, I feel they added way too much. These are sickeningly sweet, like candy. Eating a bunch of them makes your stomach feel like it did when you were a kid on Halloween and ate your entire bag of candies you collected. Ugh…
