Sodas and beer taste best at near-freezing, right? Those flimsy soft koozies really only help keep your hand warm, not your drink cold. This thermocooler is a TANK that truly keeps your drink ICE COLD for hours. At parties, I don’t drink my beers for maximum consumption, I drink at regular speed. That means my beer gets lukewarm before I’m done. Then I DO wind up chugging the rest just to get to the next cold one. Not with this beast protecting it from the Texas heat. (However, pro tip: lukewarm beer is best for speed chugging. Source: I went to Rice University, where chugging beer is *literally* a team sport.)EXCELLENT FOR ARTHRITIS SUFFERERSThis particular thermocooler (not a silly “koozie”) made by Thermos brand has an extra thick firm rubber lip around the top that helps insulate the can (it creates a vacuum you can feel as you slide the drink in) and also makes it easier for me to pick up and grip the drink. I have Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, and this is a big bonus.DRINKS STAY COLD UP TO 10 HOURSMost importantly, drinks stay cold for an incredibly long time. 10 hours according to the label on some of mine. I’ve sipped a can of Coke the next morning that was still pleasantly cold enough to drink, and since I’m talking about Coke, you know that means it was still pretty darn chilly. I use these primarily for soda. I drink way too much Coke; it’s my guiltiest pleasure. These coolers don’t make it easier too limiy my consumption!OLDER MODEL VS NEWER MODELNow, as I said, I have several of these, and have had them for maybe two years. I initially bought one, thought I left it behind on a trip, replaced it, found it, then bought a few more, so my collection came together piecemeal. I never took the labels off, and (belatedly) I noticed that some say drinks stay cold 3 hours, while others say 10. At some point I assume Thermos improved these dramatically, more than tripling the insulation duration. I just blindly kept reordering from this same listing. Aside from the label though, I can’t tell the difference between the two types. They don’t look or feel any different to me. So I’m glad I didn’t remove the labels (more about them in a sec.) I now use a 10-hour coolers for my daily use and just get out the 3-hour ones for guests.THIS LISTINGWhen you order from this listing, do you get the 10-hour version or the 3-hour? The description doesn’t say anything about specific hours, just “hours”, nor does it show what the product labels look like. It’s bad that it doesn’t specify hours, and I will report that to Amazon. 3 hours vs 10 hours is a big difference and this should say which one you’re getting.ABOUT THE LABELSLet’s talk more about these labels, since most of the bad reviews are about the labels being impossible to remove without going to a lot of trouble and then leaving adhesive and scratches on the cooler. I never bothered to take the labels off, so naturally I never encountered any issue. Honestly, it never even occurred to me that I should take them off. And as it turns out, I’m glad I didn’t, for the various reasons just described.MY ONLY COMPLAINT WITH THE ACTUAL PRODUCTThe rubber lip can come off. It gets stuck to the can and come off along with it, and if you’re not paying attention you could accidentally throw it away. It’s not glued onto the metal. I just pull it off the can and slide it back into place. They glue the label on but not the rubber?!Overall, this thermocooler outperforms anything else I’ve tried and at a better price. I don’t care about the label adhesive since I didn’t even think to take it off to begin with. The cooler keeps drinks ice cold and that’s what I want it to do. I never bother with glasses and ice for my sodas anymore!

It works
I have one of the old Yeti cookies with the screw on collars and it is more than sufficient to keep canned drinks cold for the length of time I need it to…it is also too big to fit any cup holder and it’s kind of a pain to replace cans as the collar is a little long winded.I saw this and was intrigued by the claims.The biggest selling point was the circumference…much smaller than the Yeti.I have to say it will fit in any cup holder I have and is more hand friendly by farBecause of the lip, a vacuum or near vacuum is created in the cup when a can is inserted offsetting the apparent thinness of the cookie.I do know it keeps drinks cold for a couple hours (I wandered off forgetting I had liquid left and when I returned the contents were cold)Two hours is much longer than I ever take to finish 12 ounces of any beverage, so I’m more than satisfied.I’d buy it again.

Saw similar item on youtube, came to Amazon to check it out and saw this one for a much lower price and ordered it. Couldn’t be happie. Sleek design and very well-made. I was surprised how thin it is for a double-wall so it doesn’t add any real bulk and it has a non-slip silicon ring to make holding it easier. I put it in fridge so it works twice as good at keeping soda cold even longer. I’ve ordered a 2nd one to keep in fridge so when I get a new soda I have a cold sleeve ready. The only small niggle I have is that silicon ring, it extends maybe a bit too much so my lower lip is resting on it when I drink but nothing to take any stars off

Another product with a design flaw.
08June 2024,update.Upgrading to from 3 to 5 stars after trying less expensive options (four for the price of two Thermos brand), one of which had a metal outer with a foam liner, but had a hole in the bottom, allowing sand from the beach or water from the pool in!The Thermos brand is worth the extra cost, durable, keeps drinks cold, and is solid on the bottom.-_—-___-_______Old review from a year ago.My faith in college trained design engineers continues to wane.These Thermos brand can holders are yet another product with a design flaw.Even among standard short American 12-ounce soda and beer cans, there is variation in diameter. Thermos should have adder a small protruding nipple half-way down the inside of one side of the can holder, I suspect a quarter or eight of an inch would be enough, which would provide friction as the can is slid into the holder. With some cans I have to use a thin cloth type koozie to prevent the can from sliding out when tipping it up for a drink.Could have had thicker walls for use around a pool in the hot sun, the fact it may fit into some car cup holders is not as important to me as keeping drinks cold, which is what I thought the Thermos brand was all about….. Insulating drinks to maintain hot or cold temperatures.

Living in Houston in Summer… 97 degree days and sweltering humidity.. UGH.. Drinks get hot fast..I had looked at the YETI COLSTER but man.. that price.. I got the Thermos model instead from Amazon.I love it.. I took it out on a very HOT July day.. Put a root beer in it (It was morning folks lol no beer till afternoon for me) . I sat the rootbeer down in the koozie and went off to mow and edge and trim the lawn.. Hour later I came back in the sweltering garage.. Popped open the root beer.. ICE COLD MAN. I was impressed lol.. I was soo excited I went in and showed my wife and made her drink some lol. I have put a bottle of water in it and left it in there while I went in the store to come out and it is DAMN COLD. for being left in the heat.ProsPrice… works great. Cannot compare it to a Yeti cause I am not spending $30 for a koozie. At the price of the Thermos if this thing gets left somewhere or falls off the boat? Who cares!Function. Works great on cold beverage cans.Size… It is less thick than my neighbors Yeti one.. I mean it is a beer. Who cares if it stays ice cold for 3 hours. Who takes that long to drink one. They Yeti ones are a bit to LARGE for the hand.Cons.Bottles… yeah water bottles stay cool but there is a gap though very small around the bottle and the inside of the koozie. Beer bottle just clang around inside. The beer does stay colder being inside this but I have to think it is not nearly as effective with the gap that is left. There is a bottle attachment from a third bottle company easy enough to find on google.Weight… being metal … you tend to think you always have more beer left than you do cause you are really feeling the weight of the koozie lol.. Not a huge complaint . more like that feeling of disappointment you are out. Also I tend to drink my drinks faster cause it always feels like I have a lot left lol.Surface… My drink holder in the car has these spring loaded adjustable things to adjust to any size cup. These scratch the heck out of the Thermos koozie. I mean it is just looks but I wanted to mention it.Seriously… save the $30 for the Yeti one and just buy 3 of these. Cause trust me once your family uses it you ain’t gettin yours back.

I drink a lot of sodas. I have several everyday. I do know that they are bad for me and blah blah blah, but I just love them (CocaCola Classic!!). I also have peripheral neuropathy, and its exasperated by cold things (examples: cold coke cans or ice). I always use can coozies and I tend to spill my sodas often, so I just a can holder that clips onto my bedside table (the clip on can holder was designed to clip onto picnic tables, I believe). Anyway, I heard from a friend about the Yeti brand can insulator and I have been wanting to try it out, but I hadn’t actually seen one in person, to know if it would work out for me or not. So last week, I was out shopping with my dad and brother, and they had a display of the Yeti can coolers. I was about to buy it and try it out, but my brother stopped me and said he got a Thermos brand for much much cheaper. So I took his advice, and I went to Amazon and bought two: one for me and one for my boyfriend (for the same price as one of the Yeti brand).So, the big question: Does it actually work? YES, it does. However, it isn’t the miracle I was led to believe these can insulators are. It did keep my Coke “cold” for the entire duration of me drinking it, which can last up to a hour+ (I will nurse a soda sometimes, and others just drink it down) but it didn’t keep it “ice cold.”Another added bonus for me: it FITS into my clip on can holder!! I was worried that it wouldn’t fit and that I would have to sacrifice using it, but no stress because it fits great!Also, it is easy to use. You just slide the can in and out, easy peasy (as my daughter says lol). The can does sweat while in the can insulator, but so far, that hasn’t made it difficult to slide the cans in or out.My Recommendation: YES, this was a great purchase. I would definitely recommend this Thermos can insulator to you or anyone. It works and the price is awesome (half price of the Yeti one). And just an FYI, I did NOT get this at a discount for my review, I paid full price lol.

Best ever!
I’ve used every kind of can koozie out there and I wish I’d bought this sooner. The price is great, it insulates well, it’s easy to get the cans in and out, it adds minimal bulk and size, it’s pretty much perfect! It also doesn’t come up so high on the can that your bottom lip touches it with every sip. As someone with full lips I’ve had many koozies that touched my lip and really annoyed me and this one is exactly in the right spot to not touch and still insulate the can as much as possible.

Banish your Coozies!
How on earth did I ever enjoy a beverage before my Thermos SS can insulator? Now I’m no coozie snob, but no offense, those neoprene sleeves that claim to keep a drink cool have done exactly two things for me: jack and squat. I take that back. They’ve done three things: Jack, Squat, and clogged up my kitchen junk drawer.Now that we’ve established my dislike of the traditional coozie, let’s talk about the this pinnacle of beverage chillation (Yup. I just invented a word.). This thing absolutely ROCKS! If I can be totally honest for a minute though, I bought this because I’m cheap. I wanted a YETI Coldster, the marketing wore me down, but I couldn’t justify spending $30 on a coozie. So after some research on the interwebs I came across this thing. Manufactured by what I would call a reputable company and I thought why not, for 10 bucks I can afford to give it a shot.Thanks to Prime shipping I had my shiny new SS coozie in two days flat. As soon as I got home on delivery day I tore into that package and dropped in my drink of choice: the trusty Coke. Now, let me tell you something: that familiar red can looks damn sexy, I’m talking Enzo Ferrai sexy, in this coozie. I left the opened can of bliss safely ensconced within the vacuum-walled metal walls and proceeded to forget about it for the next 2 and a half hours. Upon my return I was pleasantly surprised to find that I still had a very cold drink. Yes. Like the Monkees, I’m a believer.Since that day I’ve used this marvel of beverage cooling sorcery daily. It has yet to fail me and I hope never will. If you’re on the fence, don’t be. Buy one and discover what you’ve been missing. No longer must your final sip from a can be a luke-warm tragedy. No. Now your last sip will be just as cold and refreshing as your last.P.S. It also works on the 16 oz. bottles.

Almost better used as a cup
Don’t get me wrong, this is the best koozie on the market due to thin profile and perfect fit with a 12oz can. But remove the rubber collar and it makes an even better cup for cold beverage in the summer. It reminds me of a middle school science experiment— I get how a thick styrofoam cup works, but how on earth can a metal cup this thin be so insulated that you get zero condensation with an ice filled beverage in 80% humidity?Your friends will assume you grew up in a trailer p@rk until they sample this device themselves. Then they’ll realize you’re the smartest dude on the planet and will wonder why they’ve never seen or heard of the best product that Thermos makes. Buy this now— you won’t be disappointed (unless you wish you ordered more than one or two).

NOT just a can insulator – Also a auto cup holder “insert”
Originally I was looking for some type of insert (preferably stainless steel) to put in my new car’s cup holders just to keep the holders clean. I wanted something that I could easily remove for cleaning. My auto cup holder inside diameter is 3 5/32 inch. These holders are 2 3/4 inch outside diameter.I am really-really glad I accidentally ran across these Thermos Can insulators. After wrapping one paper towel sheet around them and held in place with a rubber band, they fit perfectly in my cars cup holder — keep the dust/dirt out — AND HUGE bonus they really keep can drinks cold.The top rubber sleeve on the holders I received thru Amazon had a “Automobile Tire Thread” design instead of the design pictured. Some reviewers have complained but other than being a little different it did not bother me. — However because I liked the insulating qualities of these holders and I wanted some to keep at home I ordered two more from another website just to compare the rubber sleeve design. Comparing both, I still have no great preference in the “looks” of the design — but the rubber sleeve with the tire thread design top sealing lip appears to have a little more/better rubber lip and may actually hold up better in the long run. (The top “lip” seals around the can and holds it in the Thermos holder.)If I want to use the auto’s cup holder for coffee or large drink cup, I remove the Thermos can cup holder and insert a plastic “Gadjits Cup Keeper Cup Holder Adapter (2 pack)” that I keep in the center console.Reviewing the original purpose of the Thermos can insulating qualities — This is a full five star product. I have learned that if you want a travel container that will truly insulate (Hot or Cold) for a period of time — spend the money and get one that is double wall, VACUUM insulated and stainless steel BOTH inside and outside as this holder is. VACUUM insulated is much better than just double wall stainless steel with some sort of filling (or no filling). AND that is my 2 cents.

Excellent, Great Looking, Keeps Cold Slightly Better than Foam

The best thing about this is it looks so much better than foam can coolers. It is at least as good as the foam coolers. Better yet it does seem to keep cans slightly cooler than in foam. The foam can coolers (cozies) work fine, as I used one for years. But foam can coolers are often quite ugly, display an advertisement, and often the advertised company doesn’t even exist anymore. This looks so much nicer. It claims to keep cans cold for up to 3 hours. I’ve never taken that long to drink a can, so I cannot say if it really holds for 3 hours. But in normal drinking, I can see it seems as though it is slightly better, but not dramatically so. It is at least as good, and maybe slightly better, but it was not a stunning difference. Buy it for looks and at least as good performance, but probably better.The thermal-dynamics speak for themselves. It should be the best possible solution for keeping a can cool without ice or refrigeration. It is a genuine thermos, using a vacuum. It simply has two walls separated by a vacuum that has no air to transmit heat. It completely knocks out one kind of heat transfer. The only place it should touch is at the very top where the metal comes together. Without any molecules in-between, it cannot transfer heat. There are still other ways heat transfers, but that is a major one. A foam insulator instead works like insulation in your attic, with many tiny air spaces. It slows the progress of heat transfer between air pockets by having many of them. Heat will slowly work its way heating the air bubble by bubble in foam. The effectiveness on slowing heat transfer is the R rating. But this Thermos is a vacuum. It should be superior.

This product far exceeded my expectations.
EDIT: after owning this for only a week I’ve decided to buy another one. If I lose or I misplace the first one, I couldn’t imagine living even one day without this. I use it at work, I use it at home, I use it in the car.Good old Thermos. Even though it’s now made overseas, the design is better than most anything else.I have two 16 oz stainless steel thermos for coffee, and a 16 oz wide mouth thermos with folding spoon. This is my fourth(edit…fifth, now I decided to buy a second one) Thermos product, and it’s simply amazing.I only drink Polar Seltzer with a little flavor added to it like black cherry or pomegranate. I love my Polar flavored seltzer. I bring six cans for an 8 hour shift. I have them in a little Coleman lunch type cooler (yes, Amazon too!) with those blue refreezable blocks.I work outside, and my beverage gets hot and flat quite fast. I ended up wasting a lot of it because it would be flat before I finished even half a can.This little cooler cup keeps my seltzer cold and keeps the carbonation in for about the hour that it takes for me to drink it slowly.It’s going to save me money because I may end up only bringing three or four cans now that I can drink each can completely.The cooler can fits perfectly inside my BMW M3 cup holder. That’s another plus.I wish that this item was around in the 80s and 90s when I lived in the Caribbean. I could have sold thousands of them. The foam cozys that we used were very bulky and didn’t work as well as this little vacuum cooler.

Works Great!
I like my soda COLD, so I’ve been using a stretchy cloth coolie at home for years. They help somewhat, but nothing like this one does! My soda stays cold to the last drop now. I like that this is not a two-part insulator, so the can just slides right in–no top ring to screw on. I use the pull tab on the can to get it out, again very easy. The top of the can extends just above the upper black material, so your lips will not touch it. Call me a wimp, but the outside of the insulator gets a little cold for me (we’re having a cold winter in CA), so I actually still use my fabric coolie over the top of this. I admit, it doesn’t look as sophisticated as it would without the realtor’s name that’s all over the cloth coolie, but my fingers feel better. Haha. I am still trying to get used to the heaviness of this though. When you pick it up, you think there is still liquid in the can because of the weight. I would still definitely buy this again though because of how well it works!This arrived on time and was well-protected, so no scratches to the finish. My biggest complaint is the adhesive they used to attach the huge sticker that wrapped around the insulator almost completely. Even using a special label adhesive solvent, it took 30 minutes to get that sticker off! I felt like cheering when I discovered that this killer adhesive was only at the beginning and end of the label, so the middle of the label peels off easily—but, WHOA, the ends are next to impossible to get off! Insane!

After 29 years, still my favorite!
I got this one as a Christmas present when I was 16…let’s just say that was a long time ago (about 28 years). If you never put it in a dishwasher, it will last a lifetime. I’ve “lost” a drink a few times for an hour or so, but it’s always still cold when I find it! I was shocked to see these are still made. The only difference is the position of the Thermos label. These are so much thinner, lighter, and easier to use than the yeti and ozark trail versions. You just set the can on top and it loads itself by slowly sinking into place! Very cool! Mine has been through hundreds of uses. Hope I never lose it…an extension of my right hand! Lol! I bought a dozen to share with my friends. You won’t go wrong with this one. ULTIMATE FOOD FAN: I approve this drink cooler.
As a resident fat person, i drink a lot of soda. I drink soda when i wake up and am checking my email. I drink soda in the afternoon with my chips, and i drink soda with dinner, as well as late into the night as i snack on steaks and entire rotisserie chickens at the wee hours of the morning during nights of PC gaming.My life changed when i purchased the Thermos Stainless Steel Can Insulator 2700P though, and while i may sound like i’m joking, i very much am not. Despite being a fat person, one might think i eat and drink like a glutton, but it couldn’t be farther from the truth. I actually eat and drink very slow as to savor everything that goes down my gullet. As such, my soda cans would always get warm when i’d drink them. A problem that led me in search of a solution upon which i arrived at the Thermos Stainless Steel Can Insulator 2700P.I’ve had mine for going on 3 months, and absolutely love it. My sodas stay cold vastly longer than they used to, so much so, that i can’t see how i lived my life without Thermos Stainless Steel Can Insulator 2700P. I’ve even had days where i was having a night of PC gaming, and was snacking on dry fruitloops and cookie dough (with of course my soda by my side), and i remember one time in particular that i ate until i passed out, took a short nap, played a game of dota 2, and realized i’d forgotten my soda in its Thermos Stainless Steel Can Insulator 2700P, and had left it sitting in between the couch cushions propped up, and much to my surprise it was still warm.In all seriousness Thermos Stainless Steel Can Insulator 2700P is a great purchase, it keeps a can damn cold for a damn long time and i highly recommend it.

Like it better than a Yeti.
I bought this to compare it to a Yeti brand can insulator that my spouse bought at a large sporting goods store. I like it much more than the Yeti for several reasons:1) It’s less than half the price of the Yeti2) It has a smaller circumference and is lighter than the Yeti. I have small hands, so the Thermos is much more comfortable to hold.3) The Thermos has a rubber collar that helps hold the can or bottle secure; just slip the can in and pull it out when it’s empty. The Yeti has a screw collar, so there are more steps to insert/change cans: screw off the collar, take out the can, insert the can, screw on the collar.4) It fits the cup holders of my SUV without removing the cupholders’ rubber inserts.5) It accommodates a greater variety of bottles (soda, water, beer) than the Yeti. The Yeti won’t hold 16 oz water or soda bottles or 12 oz. Coors beer cans, for example, due to the screw on collar. It won’t slide over the bottle/can so it can be screwed down. I suppose you could use it without the collar, but I think the Thermos is more versatile.6) As far as keeping beverages cold, I find it just as good as the Yeti. Yes, the aluminum walls are thinner than the Yeti, but I’ve kept soda cans in the Thermos for over an hour, and they’ve been just as cold as when I took them from the fridge. I will say, I haven’t compared the two outside in 100 degree heat, yet. When I do, I will update this review.To summarize, the Thermos is cheaper, lighter, more convenient and seems to keep beverages as cold as the Yeti. It doesn’t have the glitzy name that Yeti does, but for the price, who cares?

A great deal and works great
I got this after seeing the you-know-what-brand that costs 3 times as much. For just over $10, I was willing to take a shot on this Thermos koozie. It works really well. Standard size soda and beer cans fit perfectly, and stay frosty cold for a very long time. People give me grief for not drinking my beer fast enough, but this thing keeps them cold down to the last sip. I can hardly tell the temperature drops at all.I even use it with bottles. A normal Bud Light-sized bottle fits with some room around the bottle, but it still keeps it cold. Maybe not quite as cold as a can, but still frosty, which is all I could ask. I was pleasantly surprised by this. Even the shorter, fatter Budweiser Freedom Reserve bottles fit perfectly in this. I think I tried a Coors Banquet shorty bottle, and it did not fit. The skinnier taller cans (like Coors Light and Michelob Ultra) also fit with room around them, but it keeps them much colder than a foam koozie would.I really like the thinner profile of this, too. The other brand (and the knock-off at the store) are both much fatter around and are less likely to fit in a cupholder or feel as comfortable in your hands. Plus, those require a twist-off/on ring at the top, which prevent you using bottles with those, while this one does not. And many online video reviews show that this thinner, simpler Thermos koozie keeps drinks as cold or colder than those other models. I’m a huge fan of this, if you can’t tell!

You will be happy with it if you aren’t super nit-picky
First off I don’t want to give the impression that this product doesn’t do its job… it keeps your beverage cold for much longer than it will take you to drink it. Some of the reviews I read mentioned the inside diameter being too large for certain beer cans to fit snuggly (I think coors and keystone are in this category. just a little taller and skinnier) but I rarely drink any of the beers with this style can so I saw that as no issue for me personally. Unfortunately, it is a little too large even for standard diameter cans… the black rubber collar thing stabilizes it pretty well, but there is no excuse for the way it fits.I inspected 8 opened, partially consumed cans and 8 unopened cans to make an educated judgement on the matter before posting this review. I felt it was a properly random selection of beer, coca-cola, pepsi, and generic store brand sodas. I’m a machinist and I like to geek out like this once in a while.Open cans………………………… 2.582″ – 2.590″ (range of sizes between cans checked)Unopened cans…………………… 2.596″ – 2.601″ (range of sizes between cans checked)Inside dia. of can insulator……… 2.635″ – 2.675″ (minimum and maximum sizes from several measurements taken along various diameter paths)The fact that the insulator is a little out of round is of no concern. It’s flexible enough to conform to the shape of the can inside. The difference in diameter between the cans and the insulator is basically around 1/16″ which may not seem like much off the top of your head, but it’s enough that you can feel and hear it shifting each time you tip it toward your face to take a sip. For $15 I find this pretty annoying. The rubber collar at the top has a snug enough grip on the can that it does keep the cold in and the hot out, but I really expected better thought to have gone into the product… I spent about 10 minutes coming to this conclusion sitting in my kitchen.I may have gotten a bad one… I don’t know cause I only bought one. But if beverage manufacturers are able to hold the size of their millions of cans within 0.02″, Thermos needs to step it up and do the same. A full unopened can should just barely not be able to sink to the bottom without some assistance.I’ve owned many Thermos products in the past that I was happy with, and I plan to call them up and share my opinion as a customer.Bottom line: It looks cool and it works but if you are really picky like me, the above mentioned will annoy you.Update: The rubber collar has gotten to where it does not stay in place. When you life it by most of your grip on the collar, the can and the metal insulator try really hard to fall away! This is one of the big things I like about the Yeti Rambler over this. But in my opinion, both products are over-priced! I am in testing phases comparing the true insulation of each, and dollar for dollar I am much more impressed by this thing!

Like somebody else reviewed, its hard to get your lip on the can because of the silicone turtleneck on this.the overall quality is great so I will find a spacer that sticks in the bottom a little bit to raise the can.

These are the best can holders
I’ve have/had many other coolers but these are the best for cans for a couple of main reasons. There is no lid to have to take on or off but still hold the can in place well and they are far less bulky. They keep my drinks cold for a long time (and I live in Phoenix!). The only downside really is that they don’t work as well for other containers such as tapered bottles and don’t hold them in place. But for cans, and some water bottles, I highly recommend these!

Works incredibly well
I was skeptical of how well this would work, but I was pleasantly surprised. It works remarkably well. The drink stays cold for a long time; longer than I care to keep sipping it.It does increase the girth of the can, which might be a problem for hands smaller than mine.Removing the can is not an issue. Just grab the can by putting a finger in the can’s opening and it slides right out.

It works very well
I have been using this daily for 3 months now and I am ready to submit my review:My main reason for getting this was to retain fizz because the colder you keep it, the more CO2 remains in the soda.1) One star off for the unremovable label. I actually have not tried myself and I cannot imaging that a little goof off would not work wonders, however if so many reviewers have so much difficultly getting it off completely, then this is a fault with Thermos Design. Personally, I see no need to remove it and I am reluctant to remove a star for it, but I did.2) I cannot take any stars off like others have for the rubber gasket coming off so easily. It has never posed a problem for me and it makes it easier to clean. I prefer easier to clean, so good job Thermos.3) I also cannot take any stars off for the idea that putting a cold can into a warm metal container (metal against metal) actually makes it less cold. Duh! this would be true of any container that had full metal to metal contact. This makes the vacuum seal method work that much better, but I personally put ice in there before I put the cold can in there which not only gives it time for the Thermos to cool off a bit, but also helps keep it cooler even longer.4) I like that it is thin enough that it fits into many existing cup holders, yet still has enough room for two layers of metal with a vacuum in-between.5) I performed a side by side by side test and it clearly came out on top.I did pre-chill the Thermos version with ice for 5 minutes and then dumped the ice. To not pre-chill it would have warmed up the soda immediately and I would never do so in practice.One cannot really pre-chill a Neoprene jacket with ice without making a huge mess and it would not have much effect anyway.Both cans came straight of the vending machine at 34 degrees and I opened both to measure the temperature immediately and then left them undisturbed for 2 hours in a 76 degree room. The Neoprene jacket version ended up at 58 degrees and the one in the Thermos jacket ended up at 46 degrees after 2 hours.I used a certified H-B Liquid-In-Glass Partial Immersion Thermometer.A side by side taste test seemed to confirm their relative temperature differences, both based on temperature in the mouth as well as the amount of fizz I saw and felt.The larger heavy duty vacuum sealed alternatives seem too big to be nearly as useful.To me, the design of this thermos seems nearly perfect. Tho I would probably prefer it to be a touch taller.

Fits a standard pop can
Standard pop cans and beer cans fit in this perfectly. No need to take off the black piece—just slip in the can. Thinner than other double walled ones but that means it’s easier to hold and fits into beverage holders on the boat.

It’s OK
It keeps a drink cold though the drink is usually finished before it would get warm.The rubber at the top is too high and ones lips contact the ring making it uncomfortable and unsealed with ones lip allowing the contents to leak around ones lips. I solved this by putting some paper towel in the bottom which also absorbs condensation.The rubber ring also gathers yucky stuff around the groove and in between the metal and the rubber. Regular washing is required.

Goodbye Coozy, goodbye Yeti.
I was suggested this product while talking up a Yeti Colster. I like this one way better than I had imagined I would and gets my nod now. Coozies and the Yeti are just too big in the hand, yard chair cup holders, or any cup holder for that matter (hey, you can put a pop/soda in these and drive a car as well). You can put a 33-degree drink in the Thermos, do some yard work on a 100F day for about 20 minutes, come back for a good pull and there’s a cool drink still waiting. It works! Surprising since it’s really thin walled. I guess I could put some Fluke equipment all over this and give a full review, but this is free advice based on nothing but common sense.It does not fit redbull or all beer bottles. There’s no standard on beer bottles and that’s an issue I had with the Yeti. You can put one brand in the Yeti, put the topper on, and it’s a fat-fisted rattletrap or it’s a fat-fisted heavy bottle. A smaller bottle will rattle around like a bell in there. Here, Thermos aren’t saying it fits all bottles because no one can say that. This is not for beer bottles unless you stick to one brand of bottled beer that does fit the common 12oz can profile.I love that it’s very low profile. It’s not much larger than the common 12oz grasp. What will surprise you is that you have to adapt to what an empty drink feels like in weight. An empty can in this feels like a 3/4 full can; It’s stainless so has some heft. I’ve spent some time with this kicking back big pulls of nothingness, but that I will adapt to.This is it. This is the ultimate coozy. It’s small so it fits in your hand and cup holders of lawn chairs and it really REALLY keeps a canned beverage cool on a hot day for longer than you’d expect from such a slim design. Much longer than a cheap foam cozzy that is 1/2 the cost at the gas station and this one will last a long time.If you’re looking at the Yeti, just get this and stop bragging about how great it is. I have the Yeti and just found the error in my ways. Yeti is just bragging about how much you spend on things.

Surprised how long it keeps my cold drink cold
I bought this cooler and a Yeti cooler, both are superior thermal coolers with the Yeti slightly better at maintaining temperature. The Yeti is very heavy, more expensive and the screw on top annoying. I find myself using this cooler over the Yeti for those reasons. Both are exceptional can coolers and worthy of purchase.

This Insulator Makes Life Better
Ok, there are those products that are cool fun, or sometimes useful (tablets, autographed whatever, Christmas lights) and there are those products that make your life materially better (automatic cappuccino maker, electric blanket, wi-fi.)This little can insulator makes your life better.I couldn’t believe it. I bought this product on a whim when it was on sale with Amazon for a few bucks less. When it came in, I explained to my wife, yes, I know it’s a can insulator that I paid close to double figures for when the foam ones you can buy for a buck, but everyone says awesome things and I like drinking out of cans. Maybe this will help out when we do road trips…And then I started using the insulator. Holy smokes! This little sucker kept my canned drinks with that same ice-cold temperature an hour after my first sip! I couldn’t believe it. It became my go-to beverage holder at home, on the road, whenever, wherever I was going to drink out of a can. When I got home from work, sometimes I would have to wait my turn after my wife finished up her soda. It fit perfectly in my cup holder! I was in cold-drinking bliss.Fast forward to Thanksgiving. I started bragging about the can to my father who was visiting and offered to let him give the insulator a try. A day later I find it in his car, when he had to do a last-minute run for some additional groceries. Now, my father is on the road a lot because his job entails a lot of traveling. So I did the right thing, I offered my insulator thinking he would say nah — I got a cooler. Well, nope! Pops had a big grin on his face and accepted his early Christmas present.So I did the only logical thing one should do under these circumstances. I ordered another at full price. This is because, incredibly, this insulator makes life better. Do yourself a favor and get one as well. Maybe get a few more for loved ones, because once they try out this insulator they’re going to want one as well.

I promise you this product does not keep your cans cold. It’s a super thin wall of stainless steel. Takeoff the rubber at the top and it makes an amazing coffee cup with zero plastic and only stainless steel. Enjoy!

Bought 20 of these ~10 years ago. Down to 5 now after friends “borrowed” them over the years. I tried to find replacements on auction sites over that time w/ no luck. Keeps cans cold and fits in the car cup holder without issue.
This insulated can holder by Thermos is simple, effective, and lives up to the brand’s reputation.The silicon ring at the top comes off if you need it to, but it isn’t necessary. Simply slide the can into the holder and it keeps that drink cold for hours, assuming you don’t finish it right away. The ring snugs up around the can, allowing the Thermos magic to do its work.I’ve gotten busy with a project at my job and neglected my drink while I concentrated, only to realize I still had some drink left in the can once I took a break. It was still cold, even though half consumed.It’s easy to keep clean, and it fits in every vehicle cup holder I’ve tried to use it in.

My review will be much less detailed than others, but this thing is awesome. I bought my first one over a year ago, and just ordered another one so I could keep one stashed at home and have one to keep in my car or saddlebags for convenience. Always a sad day when I realize too late I should have brought it with me!This thing is far more effective than a standard foam coozie, and you don’t have to take it apart to add/remove cans. Because who wants to do that? It also doesn’t get all ratty or fall apart like the cheapie ones do. And for the price? Hell, I have paid the same for foam coozies because I like the design, then been disappointed when they barely make a difference keeping my drink cold.It will fit any standard sized cans like a 12 oz. Coke, but something taller and more skinny like a Coors can will rattle around a bit. Wrap that sucker in a paper towel and you’ve got a snug fit, or just let it rattle around a bit- usually my method. Tilt the top toward yourself against the rubber rim when you go to take a sip, and than can isn’t going anywhere you don’t want it to.Most bottles will have a bit of room to spare in this thing, but again… Who cares? Paper towel/keep it still with a finger, it’s still gonna keep your drink much colder than it would be otherwise, so your hot hands don’t ruin your cold drink!To sum things up, if you are the type of person who prefers a coozie (and if you aren’t, you ain’t no friend of mine!), then this thing will be right up your alley. And if you’re reading this (yeah- YOU!) then just know, you will be satisfied with this purchase. And just something to keep in mind, the price on singles is for some reason cheaper than buying packs of two!
