    Savior.

We use this product while out kayaking. While paddling with our drinks salt water tends to get in the cans if they are not covered. No more using rags or t-shirts to cover our drinks. It works great!

    Fits 7.5 oz cans

Nowadays, I can never finish a regular can of soda so I figured I would buy this in case of my local Walmart runs out of minis, which it does from time to time. On a lark, I figured to try it out on the 7.5 minis I normally drink. I was fairly surprised that they indeed fit but it must be due to a standard circumference with soda lids, regardless of can volume. Anyway, a good purchase indeed.

Our second set, and certain to be the best!

I lost one of two of our first set and had to reorder. I compared other similar products just to see what else is out there now, but liked that these are clear (because I don’t want a circus on my pop), and easily flipped up for normal can drinking and then pressed back in place. I don’t know why such an obvious design hasn’t been around for forever. I don’t like to travel with an open can, and am accident prone, so these are a must! Grateful, thanks!

They do fit just kinda hard to get them on

I got the clear ones but I think they do come in colors. They are not too thick to where you can’t get it on the pop can BUT sometimes it is a little tricky and you end up squeezing the pop can, but not to where it’s crushed. They do work for like hours but I don’t think they work over night. The 1st appearance of it made me think that they were too small for the can but when I put it up to the can it was the right size. I’m not sure about the value of money yet. I have only used them a few times and haven’t decided completely yet…. well I have used them or tried to use them more times than my initial review and honestly I have found them pretty hard to get on. I don’t know why but once you get them on, they have kept the pop in the open can, fresh with fizz till the next day. (That’s opening it around 9/10p then reopening around 2/3p the next day) I just wish they were easier to actually get on.

    Works Great

I opened a can of soda and don’t finish it the same day. I put the cover on it and the next day when I finished, it tasted just kind it did when I first opened the can of soda.

    Spill proof

These fit really good and are spillproof as long as you take the time to properly put them on the containers. Kinda like with any lid if you don’t install it properly then it’s not gonna work properly.

They work, also are a great prank

These are excellent at keeping a half can overnight. Occasionally I’ll hear them pop off the can and tumble to the bottom of the fridge, especially the more soda that’s still in the can. The downside to this is when it happens *outside* of the fridge. I once took a half can out and forgot to take the lid off right away. Scared the bejeezuss out of me when the lid blasted like a champagne cork and flew past my face. Luckily I didn’t get Ralphied in the eye.Fair warning, the lids will pop off if the fridge is open too long as well.My roommate has a bad habit of digging around the cheese drawer and opening packages, all while standing in front of the fridge with the door open, instead of taking everything out to the counter. You know, like a normal person. Eight times out of ten the lid pops off and buzzes him. It’s especially funny to hear the loud pop followed by a bunch of expletives when he’s half asleep doing a midnight snack raid.Overall, they work. And bonus if you’re into psychopathic type pranks that startle people.

Can’t believe I just paid $12 for these….they probably cost a nickel to make. That being said… they do seem to do the job as described. Very flimsy lid connector and I do not see them lasting very long.

They will pop off soda cans due to the carbonation so make a pinhole in the top.

First test they popped off as has been mentioned. I took a small pin and made a hole in the center for the cap. That stopped the popping. So some carbonation escapes but not enough to not drink your soda the next day. I wouldn’t leave it for days though. Pretty sure the soda would be flat. A little tight to get the ring around the can. Just work your fingers around it until it sets. They’re better than doing nothing and dumping out the can. You get 6 for about 10 bucks. That’s ok.

    It works

I ordered this product as a cover for my 240z. beer cans. I usually only drink a half a can a night and needed something for a cover instead of cling wrap.I did not have much success at first. It was difficult to get on, I tried running it under hot water a bit and that helped some.To make a long story short, I was determined not to give up and ended up cutting the connecting plastic from the top and bottom and clipping them together to make one seal and now it works GREAT!

  20. RogerOverAndOut

    4.0 out of 5 stars

Ok, probably overpriced. Not completely as advertised.

I can see this keeping bugs out of ones drink or keeping it contained on a car ride, but it definitely doesn’t protect from tip overs. Particularly if it’s a carbonated. The raised lips makes it harder to drink so I think this is definitely designed with straw drinking in mind. Honestly wish there was just a way to make the can itself resealable, or pour to reusable container without changing flavor and losing fizz. Good job thinking outside of the box though.

    Good But Too Expensive

The product does work but it took a few tries to realize that I needed to keep it closed in order to put it on the can. I do feel that it could be made with a better quality plastic for the price I paid.

    Open before putting on can

This was a gift and thought they were too small. But mom figured out they work once you open it first before putting it on a can.

    Savor that drink!

It’s incredible how well these work. You open a can of carbonated beverage (beer, soda, etc), pour out the amount you want, seal the top, and pop it back in the fridge. The next day, the contents are nearly as fresh as if you just opened the can. It doesn’t absorb odors from the fridge and stays fizzy. In fact, it seals so well that I’ve observed the pressure in some cans blow the top straight off if left for too many days (particularly in the case of beers that continue to ferment). Just be sure to press it on really firm and squeeze out as much air as possible, and do it right away. I’d say you can expect to get and extra day or two out of a carbonated beverage without it going flat.Whether you want to savor an expensive beer or just limit the amount you’re drinking in a single sitting, these are definitely worth checking out.

Here’s how I fixed the popping situation.

So these lids are awesome. The only reason I want lids for my drinks are to keep bugs out of it and to keep the carbonation for awhile. I first purchased these in March 2021 so I’ve had a long while to test them out. I stopped using the lids at one point because they would POP open at any given time. Not only would it scare the heck out of me, but it also got the drink all over the place. I decided to take a thumb tack and make the tiiiiniest hole on the top of the lid to reduce the pressure inside the can. Now of course that limits the time your drink stays strongly carbonated, but I find that even with the tiny hole my drink did a great job of keeping its carbonation for awhile. And again, for me I just wanted something to keep bugs out of it while I was outdoors and the tiny puncture definitely didn’t ruin that. Finally no bugs, a carbonated drink, and NO LID POPPING OPEN.

    Okay

These work well enough, but their hinges are pretty flimsy and break easily. The lids still work, but you’ll have to deal with them in two pieces. A minor nuisance.

    put on before opening can

needed these for work. the seal holds well and the lid doesn’t come off accidentally. only issue is you can’t put it on after opening your can, otherwise you’ll crush the can, and that makes it hard to get the leverage to open it with the tab

You need these in your life.

These are leak proof, and absolutely do what they are intended to do.Long story short, if you want you can sealed while in the fridge or on a table this is for you. If you want to keep your drink carbonated when it’s not being drank, this is for you. If you don’t want your can top to turn into a unpredictable projectile object when your walking fast with it, this one is for you.I realized it’s easiest if you put the top on before opening the can because the lid seals so well it requires a bit of pressure to apply it to the rim of the can and the can tends to give if it is opened and pressure is applied.I will also tell you if your can is open and the lid is on, sealing it shut, and you’re doing anything with it that is causing the drink to “fizz” because of the carbonation build up, such as walking fast, it will probably pop the top open. This is not because of the product, it is just the nature of carbonated drinks. The good thing about this type of top is the part that is supposed to open for you to drink out of the can is the part that opens if the drink is shook. You want it to pop open from this part. This product is better than others I’ve owned because other types of can lids, such as the ones that snap onto the can and have the screw on “soda bottle” top, will completely pop or shoot off the can if there is carbonation built up, say from walking fast with it in your hand.If you don’t want your can top to turn into a unpredictable projectile object, buy this one.

Main use: used in tandem with a neoprene can cover, keeps drinks cold and fizzy

This does work! I haven’t knocked one over but there’s no reason that it wouldn’t also stop leaks, since it snaps tight. you have to pull it on around the ring at the top of the can, a little like the six pack rings the cans come in, but higher and tighter, on the very top lip. Be gentle with them, don’t stretch the plastic! Easy to do. Do NOT tug on the lid to remove, same reason. Get a dinner knife and flick it up against the edge of the ring from the inside of the can top rim to remove, it’ll pop right off. A good choice.

These are great! Haven’t checked to see if they’re leak proof yet but I thought I was getting them for the 12 oz. size can of pop (which I don’t drink as much anymore) but they fit the mini pop cans I drink mostly now and the Sanpellegrino sparkling drink cans too! Perfect!!

    Superior can lid

I bought this product to prevent a stray insect from flying into my can of Spindrift as I don’t guzzle them down quickly. At first I looked for a lid that would just snap on and off, but then I came across this product that had a better design… the “lid” is attached to a ring that fits onto the top of the can, and then the lid snaps down onto the ring. One of the biggest advantages to this approach is that even if I forget to close the lid after taking a drink, I’m not going to lay the ring on a picnic table and then forget about it: the lid is still attached to the can via the ring. Very ingenious design. I’ve used one of the lids/rings on about 5 cans so far, and I just rinse it under running water after each use. Each time I’ve used it the ring has fit tightly to the top of the can, and the lid has sealed into the ring without any noticeable deformation.

    What was that POP

We got these to cover open carbonated water cans to keep them drinkable longer. I wasn’t totally convinced these would work very well as they are made of a ring of plastic that fits around the can and a lid attached to the ring to try and seal the can. The first time my wife used one, we were watching a movie when we heard this strange, fairly loud POP. After a little bit of investigation, we found it was the lid that the carbonation had overpressurized and forced it off the top of the can.Pros:It seals the can and holds in carbonation, which means it is also relatively leakproof. Just don’t leave it on its side too long.Cons:It seals, but once the pressure reaches a certain point, it will POP the lid off the can. If it’s not attached, it serves no practical value.

Better than Amazon’s recommended (and most popular) choice.

I bought this along with several other silicone lids. These are easy to attach, and make a reassuring little popping sound when you open the cans, letting you know they are releasing some pressure that has built up in the can. I also tried a highly rated competitor (the multicolored ones with the fluted rims), and they did not seal as well (no pressure relief sound on opening), though they’re slightly cheaper. I also like the fact that you don’t need to put the cover down somewhere as it stays attached when open. And on a side note, for those wondering why not just buy the small plastic soda bottles, there is no question the metal cans keep colder and taste fresher, and for most brands, are significantly cheaper than the bottles. Obviously large bottles are cheapest, but unless you really go through them in a day or two, they start going flat quickly. You also don’t really need to use a new one after each can. I usually keep a couple of cans in the frig and just swap it out to the next can, maybe with a quick rinse if it has gotten wet with soda.Highly recommended.

Easy to drink with, works great!

Probably goes without saying, (least for people smarter than me.) But wash them first.. unless you want your first couple sips to taste like rubber. But other than that they grip nicely, easy to drink out of, and can save a good can of cola (or beer). Would recommend.

    Updated review

I have discovered that the lids do help to keep soda fresher a little longer when I use them in conjunction with an insulated can cooler. However, I knocked a can over that was on my nightstand the other night and didn’t realize until morning. Fortunately, I had some tissues on the stand. The can did leak, but it did not all pour out. What seeped out was absorbed by the tissues, so I didn’t have much of a mess. Without the lid, there would have been a big mess. So, I have increased my rating from a 2 to a 3. My original review is below:The soda goes flat just as quickly as it normally does. I could use it to prevent spills, but that’s not what I was looking for. Because the lid sits so far above the can, soda pools all around the top of the can and gets trapped. If the soda sits on my desk for 30 minutes, the pooled soda starts getting a little “syrupy.” That seems “un-hygenic.” I’m disappointed with this product and will look for a different design. This one is not doing what I bought it for, but it is good for preventing spills. If all you want is a lid to prevent spills, this will do the job. If you want something to keep your soda fresh, keep looking.

Does the job with a few short comings

I have nerve damage in my hands. As a result I fumble things a lot. After the third time dropping a soda can I decided to look into cap options. It works well. I have had a few drop incidents and little to no spillage, which is what I wanted. It’s not water tight but I don’t need that. I need time to pick up the can before the contents escape. 🙂 I find it easiest to put on the lid with the top open and the can itself unopened. the ring goes on easier this way. Then I pop the can top and can close the lid.It does pop open from time to time because of the build up of pressure. Science! It’s usually when the can is mostly full. I just push it shut again.I just put it in a cutlery basket in the dishwasher from time to time.It is mostly water tight and because of that a bit difficult for me to remove. But, as I mentioned, I have crap hands. I suspect it would be easier for someone else. I simple close the lid then pull it by the hinge in the back.Again, I use this to prevent spillage, not to keep freshness. It does that very well and I’m grateful for the accommodation device. I do wish the tab to open was bigger (bit hard to grip with my crap hands.)
