Surprisingly tasty
I got this soda because my son loves the black licorice sassafras we’ve gotten at the renaissance fair and couldn’t find it anywhere. I was a little worried this flavor might be too intense, but it is great. It gives you that black licorice taste and it’s sweet, but not insanely sweet. We’re excited to pour a dash of it into some root beer to see if we can replicate his favorite drink from Renaissance fair. The only downside is the cost combined with the shipping cost. Makes it a little too expensive to justify buying more. Cheers!

Surprisingly refreshing
We bought this mostly as a joke but I really enjoyed it. The anise/black licorice flavor is not overpowering, its crisp and leaves a nice finish. I’m adding this to my bar.

If you hate Black Licorice…..
You will HATE this soda! I, on the other hand, am a fan of licorice and all the like.I was afraid that with a name like “Gross Gus”, that it would be made to turn the stomachs of all. My fears were unjust. This sweet elixir engulfs you from head to nethers. If you are bold enough, you will be you too, can be blessed with the experience that is Dragon Drool

Surprisingly Good!
A very good, subtle taste. Not overwhelming or sickly sweet. Better than I expected. I wish that they still had the red licorice. I’d of liked to try it.
