Great addition to wash.
I have used Arm and Hammer baking soda for so much throughout the years.My Mother and Grandmother’s did also. Great for ridding smells from clothes and blankets etc. Softens water and loosens dirt.

Return to the basics .. cleaning
3 products: (Original Blue) Dawn dish soap, Vinegar, and baking soda. The best cleaning products known to smart people. The combinations are endless. Laundry, carpet, shower, toilet, etc.In an effort to eliminate chemical based cleaners, and test out the theory of getting cleaner clothes, I ordered this large bag, along with some vinegar and wow (already had the Dawn). I soaked a few white articles of clothing in the 3 together, scrubbing here and there, & let set for 24 hours. Then I washed in machine with laundry strip (Clean People) a scoop of baking soda, vinegar in the detergent & fabric softener (front loader). These items had been washed & dried multiple times and endured several summers in the South. I had previously tried bleach with limited results.This worked. Like a dream. All the stains were removed. I’m hooked.So each load of laundry now gets the baking soda and vinegar (replacement fabric softener). If needed, a small tsp of Dawn in the detergent with a splash of vinegar.I also have a spray bottle of vinegar handy for pet accidents (my youngest pup is a marker) so I sprinkle the soda over the accident (after getting up as much as possible) then spray with vinegar, let it bubble, a get up with paper towels. Repeat if necessary & rub in. The two eliminate most of the orders & clean while it works.Toilet bowl cleaner with the vinegar. Gonna do some trial runs with the rest of the bathroom. But it did an amazing job taking stains out of the wash tub sink in laundry (again with vinegar).Always spot test to ensure your items won’t be damaged. But I feel so much better knowing my pups won’t be harmed and I’m not exposing my family to extra chemicals. Also can add essential oils for fragrance if you desire.

All around great cleaning item.
Great size. Use to boost laundry soap. Use instead of harsh scrubbing products. Great to sprinkle on greasy spots or spills absorbs grease easier6 and a lot less messy. Baking soda is on of the most cost effective items you can have in your household.

It Works
What is there to say about A&H baking soda? It’s like aspirin. It’s one of the wonders of the universe. It absorbs orders, puts out fires, cleans your clothes, and even cleans your teeth. I’m just glad I found this size, because I use it a lot.

What happened this time?
I have purchased this product multiple times via Amazon. For some reason this time the soda was caked up. I tried to break up the large clumps with my plastic tool to no avail, I switched to a large fork & that didn’t work either, the clumps were so solid that I had to use my “pink girl ” hammer to reduce the clumps. I, in the past have been very pleased with this product, this time, not so much.
