    Nice flavor

I loved this flavor of ginger beer, not too sweet and some heat to it! Some of my friends didn’t love it but I do and will purchase again!

    Too much sugar!

Taste is nice and gingery, but the amount of sugar is too much. Total sugars 14g, includes 14g added sugars for a total of 27% sugar in one little teeny 5 oz can. Had I bothered to look up sugar content, I wouldn’t have purchased. That said, is does taste great.

This is some serious ginger brew.

I was introduced to this when it came packaged with Jägermeister. The flavor is awesome. Now I drink it straight up. It’s so intense, you can’t have large quantities. I feel it like it does a great job of clearing up my throat, and it probably calms my stomach as well. I used to swig small amounts of tequila to clear my throat, but this stuff does the trick without the alcohol.

One of the best Ginger Ales out there

We love the taste of this high quality Ginger Ale. We’ve also tried the Ginger Beer which tastes excellent and has a slight, lingering burn at the end. WIll definitely order again. For those who are shocked about the size, I mean, it states that the can is 5.07oz in the description. Larger bottles and 250ml size cans are available as well. 👍

Ginger beer with a touch of citrus

Makes a great Moscow mule. In our side by side taste test we loved the additional light citrus and the blood orange gives the drink a nice light pink color. It was a big hot straight at a recent party. I wish it were cheaper, of course.

    Real Ginger

I know this is a mixer. I buy it to drink strait when my stomach doesn’t feel great. I bought the case cause it was cheaper than individual 6 packs at the store. It’s a perm item in my house. It’s very strong and heavy bubbles specifically for mixing but since this sis the only soda I typically drink I’m ok with it.

I seem to recall a 22 or 24 ounce ball for 279 at Safeway which would be cheaper pronounced than these little cans. I understand the little can concept though because this ginger beer packs a real taste delight. How can you not like capitalism?

The photos show the Bold & Spicy version of the ginger beer. The bottles I received were not bold & spicy, just the regular Premium Ginger Beer. What I received tasted good but not as good as the bold & spicy version.

    Cost/Satisfaction Ratio

It’s tasty and all, but really pricey for something that isn’t really all that fancy. The little cans are cute, so if you’re trying to impress your clients with your dark and stormy and the fact that you don’t keep a can open to get flat while you wait for the next, maybe this is you. If you care about your budget even slightly, consider that all the nuance of the flavor will be hidden by the booze and just go goya. Also, this may not apply to many reviewers, but in my area we found this at the local grocery store as well for a lower price. I get it’s not going to be available everywhere and the local cost may vary, just saying if you do want to try this, it’s worth checking around before buying it here.

Fragile cans or a little less fizzy than the glass.

Love Fever Tree ginger beer, but the cans are very thin. I suggest purchasing alone so they don’t get too dented and crushed. But they will be dented. They also seem less fizzy/carbonated as compared to the glass bottles. Is it because it’s in a can or something else? It’s cheaper than the glass bottles.

    Optical Illusion 🧐🧐

This ginger ale brand is the first I have tried. Normally used to seagrams and Canada Dry but this brand is without a doubt the CLEANEST CRISPEST I have ever tasted. It feels and tastes like it got plucked from a bespoke ginger ale tree from the garden of Eden. Yes I am extra. My only issue is the SIZE. It is EXTREMELY SMALL. In the pictures I have relayed and attached to this review I need to warn those before purchasing though this is a canned ginger ale I have UNUSUALLY SMALL HANDS for a woman😅😊😊😊😅😅. And even though you did not ask for it, no I am not short by any stretch of the imagination. I am very tall for a woman as well— around 5foot 7inches on average. Do with that circus creature image what you will 🤣, but just to give you a heads up this is NOT a big can at all. Definitely not the size your used to seeing at the grocery store. I believe this may be for nightclub and Bartending use but I have no shadow of a clue. Enjoy!

    Excellent real ginger ale!

Until sometime in the late-1980s, all I knew about ginger ale was that Canada Dry and Seagrams were good, but I preferred Canada Dry, at least when it was made with pure cane sugar, which was the case at the time but not for much longer. Then I had the required epiphany while driving through South Carolina when I stopped for gas at a truck stop not too far from the border with North Carolina and noticed that there was an entire refrigerated section holding a virtual festival of different types of ginger ale, which I thought was interesting, so I got a few six-packs of several different types and took them to the check-out stand, where the clerk provided a bit of education regarding the different levels of spiciness and hotness, where among other things she noted that one of my ginger ale selections was in the super spicy, volcano hot range and warned me about it, since she said that if I was not a regular ginger ale drinker, then it might be extraordinarily painful or at least a major eye-opener, and after taking a sip sometime later, I think she was being conservative, but so what.Until you have experienced super spicy and volcano hot ginger ale, which as best as I can determine might be available only in that particular part of South Carolina, you truly have no idea regarding the levels of ginger ale, which to get to the point puts Canada Dry at 1 on a scale of 1 to 10, where the super spicy, volcano hot ginger ale is a 9 (since there was a ginger ale at the truck stop that the lady said it was even more intense and flat out told me not to try it when she learned that my entire experience with ginger ale was Canada Dry and Seagrams). And even the medium (6 on the same scale) that I got was too spicy and hot for me, so I gave all of it to a friend who is a ginger ale aficionado, and he immediately chugged one of the 9 out of 10 super spicy, volcano hot bottles and asked me if I had anything stronger). So, on this scale, the Fever-Tree Premium Ginger Ale is a 3 or 3.5, where it definitely is spicy, and it has the required “burn” when you swallow, but it is not so intense that you need to go to the emergency room after enjoying a bottle, and I think it is just about perfect, really. It is packed for shipping using an excellent system, where the six 4-paks are shrink wrapped in an inner cardboard case container, with the individual bottles for each 4-pack being separated by the thick paper of the wrap-around 4-pack, and then the entire inner cardboard case is padded with blocks of styrofoam to completely fill the outer cardboard box, which in turn is put in yet another cardboard shipping box by Amazon.com, which makes it one of the best packed cases ever and is consistent with this being a truly premium product in every respect. And for reference I did enjoy one bottle of the super spicy, volcano hot ginger ale, but at the pace of one sip every five (5) minutes or so, which was about how long it took to recover from each sip. And to put it into perspective, I really like hot sauce and can drink a few ounces of Crystal® Hot Sauce or McIlhenny Company Tabasco® Sauce at a time with no problems, and they are in the range of 4 to 5 on the ginger ale scale in terms of hotness and burn, which makes the 3 to 3.5 for Fever-Tree Premium Ginger Ale very nice either straight from a nicely chilled bottle or served on ice. And it definitely is for grown-ups, since it is spicy and it does have the required burn but in a happy and pleasant way.

    Hands down, best ginger beer!

This is the only ginger beer we buy. Makes the perfect Kentucky mule. Great pure ingredients that we trust! We also use it for mock tails – elderberry syrup, lime, ginger beer. Tastes great on its own as well!

I like Fever Tree… I’ve tried a lot of different Ginger Beers but this is my favorite. The price may be a little on the high side compared to the local grocery. But, I don’t have to go out and get it so that makes it worth it.I’ll buy this again.

    Fever-tree ginger beer

I am rather picky about my ginger beer. It has to be more dry than sweet and it must be spicy. This ginger beer is delicious. And I love that it is the smaller 6.8oz bottle. You never waste that way. I mix it with my lemonaide…. ice tea…and make a mean moscow mule with it. If you are a lover of ginger ale… this will probably not do it for you… but I hesitate to discourage anyone from trying it for themselves. This brand is not the driest ginger beer I have ever had… but it is not the sweetest either. My personal feeling is that it is a lovely half way between the over sweet and the over dry. There is sugar involved, but it is NOT a chemical… it’s real sugar. It’s mostly clear… a slight ivory tinge… but no artificial colors. It is spicy, but again, not the spiciest I have ever had. Honestly, if it’s too spicy, it takes away from whatever you’re mixing it with. It needs to have a ginger bite, but not one that leaves too deep a mark – so to speak. I am very happy with my stock of Fever Tree Premium Ginger Beer – in the small, waste free bottles. They take up less space in the fridge that way too. I never hesitate to update my review should new info prove useful. I waited to review until I had used several times. Everyone enjoys a little differently, so these are strictly my opinions. I respect those who disagree. That being said, I would personally recommend this brand to anyone who would like to try it and those who appreciate a well balanced ginger beer made with natural ingredients.

    Tiny can filled with flavor

I’m used to buying this drink in tall glass bottles. When I saw it was sold in cans, I thought it would be more convenient than glass. But they are so small in size, I need to use several. But the flavor is as wonderful as ever. I just wish they were regular soda can size.

    Updated 7/19/14

First, like another reviewer, I am on medication that causes nausea. Aside from Reeds Extra Ginger this is the ONLY thing to settle my stomach. Though more expensive, Fever Tree has the advantage of 1. I need to drink much less to settle my stomach, 2. The TASTE is awesome. There is no syrupiness or and sort of artificial aftertaste. There is a great bite of ginger in every sip. The bottles seal well and retain the fizziness up to 3 days after you first open them if you keep them refrigerated. However, I gave it 5 stars for taste alone. Shipping would get a 3 star rating. I have had 2 shipments arrive with broken bottles, though Amazon has been great about replacing the orders that were broken. I’m pretty sure that this is the fault of UPS though – with the last one we heard the thump of the box hitting the front entryway.****Update****My latest shipment arrived about a week ago. I just opened one today. This is disgusting! These are absolutely nothing like all of the previous ginger beers that I have enjoyed. They are thin and bitter tasting with a strange harsh aftertaste that has nothing to do with ginger. It tastes chemical. I ordered three cases and tasted a bottle out of each in hopes that it was a fluke – no such luck. All of them expire 12/14 and they are all disgusting. I am very disappointed because I had read other reviews saying that they had changed but I figured it would be a minor thing. This is an entirely different item. My husband says they taste like they were made with tonic water and ginger flavoring. The ingredients list is the same, so who knows. Amazon has kindly refunded me and my husband has disposed of the ginger beer, keeping a bottle from each case for when we contact the company.I am very disappointed and will buy the smaller bottles from Kroger until they taste like these and then try to find another ginger beer I guess. It’s too bad, I have really been a fan for quite some time, and at 2-3 cases a month was a loyal customer.Updated 7/19/14***********My husband bought some of these on the off chance that they would be better. They were! Fevertree ginger beer now tastes just like it should again. Lots of ginger, a strong bite, and soooo good. Whatever they have done to fix this, keep it up.

Real deal best ginger ale. Not syrupy or overly sweet.

This ginger ale is light and vibrant in taste. Refreshing and sparkling. Not overpowering but you clearly know you are drinking ginger ale. Its what they serve at fancy pants hotels and restaurants for a reason. Its high quality, not the basic syrupy, overpowering sweet taste you may be used to from the mass brands. Note the size of can is smaller than a mass brand can. Its the perfect size for a glass with ice with or without liquor in it.

I became a fan of this ginger ale on a river cruise in Europe. It is so much tastier than typical canned ginger ale that you buy in the grocery. It is not as sugary and has a nice zing to it, making it a refreshing treat! Love, love, love this ginger ale. Please keep stocking it!

weak, but I like the ingredients and the size is nice for occasional consumption

I was expecting or hoping for a more robust ginger ale. More dry, more spice. But it is instead just real sweet and rather mild and bland. My review is for the pack of small cans “Fever-Tree Premium Ginger Ale, No Artificial Sweeteners, Flavorings or Preservatives, 5.07 Fl Oz (Pack of 24)”The ginger is weak. It doesnt stand out over most store shelf ginger ale. It is quite sweet too. I like that they use regular sugar, but the 11 grams per each tiny can is a bit much. If this was closer to Vernors I would have been pleased. I want a punch of ginger when I take a sip. I dont find there to be any heat or tingle. This is just ordinary to me. Maybe I will try their ginger beer some day and see if that is closer to what I want.I do like the small cans. I know these are marketed toward use in cocktails, but I just like to drink ginger ale. I dont always want a bottle or big can. I dont always want it daily. So being able to just grab a small can as a treat once in a while is perfect for me. Every once in awhile I like a Moscow Mule. This wont work for that as the ginger is too weak.3,5 stars

I love the taste, and the bottles and how healthy this drink is! I have searched and could only find sugarless ginger ale or full sugar. This is the only “low” sugar ginger ale I have found!! It is a bit pricey but worth it for both taste and health.

This is such a painful review to write……….

These were once the best Ginger Beers in the world. Nothing else even came close. I had been buying these by the case for years from Amazon (sometimes as many as 1-3 cases per month)! They were not only the most mouth watering concoction I had ever tasted in my life (and I know my Ginger Beers), but they helped me so much in quelling the nausea I am dealing with from doing chemo, as there was so much fresh Ginger in them (almost medicinal for me). A tonic that I could never let myself run out of. Thanks to Amazon Prime, I never did run out, and all was well for a very long time.Everything changed in October 2013 when I received three cases of this once wonderful Ginger Beer. They looked funny, tasted odd, and even bitter, and all shared an expiration date of 7/14. I know this product rather well and knew that something was really wrong here. Whatever spilled into the batches that expire 7/14, all had something in them that simply did not belong. There was no mistaking that something was wrong here. We even had neighbors taste test with us, and they agreed that something was definitely very odd in the ones that we had just received, which all expired 7/14.One of these neighbors owns a home nearby, and as a bartender, knows the Fever Tree mixers well. He said that it was obvious that the factory thought it was still making Tonic Water and let Quinine or whatever makes up tonic, run into these instead of natural spring water, as always used. That would explain the strange and unrecognizable bitterness. All I knew is that I was now stuck with three cases of stuff that tasted awful.I contacted Fever Tree directly to make them aware of this problem, as well as Brands Of Britain, who is the sole, authorized, distributor here in the United States. I was treated like an idiot basically. Long story short, no problem exists as they have received no other calls. Disappointing…….I then decided to order again hoping I would receive cases from other expiration dates that I had been used to getting, which were delicious, and yet again, I received one of the dreaded 7/14’s, and again, they were so odd and strangely bitter. I still had a little of Fever Tree’s regular stock to compare it to, and it was glaringly obvious that something had gone amiss with the stock they created that expire 7/14.If that wasn’t bad enough, I realized that they had changed the recipe drastically, and this became rather obvious, as the amount of ginger and cloudiness that made these so delicious and powerful, garnering so many wonderful, well deserved, reviews was now a thing of the past. They have been slowly putting in less and less Ginger in these in the hopes that we would not notice, but more and more people are awakening to this sad news every day. You can almost tell who has the older stock with the original recipe, and who is just waking up to the newer stock (wait until you see the new 10/14’s, as they have not a cloud in sight and absolutely no sediment at the bottom period)! We were stunned……..The reviews are going to be very different out here in about 6 months or so.I also took note of the fact that Amazon changed the ingredients listed here, as it used to read Ginger Root just like the labels still read, and yet now it says Ginger Extract, and that explains a lot. They taste like watery knock off’s now. I just read a review out here a week ago or so from someone very upset over this as well, and asking why…..why do anything to something so perfect….so sublime (and so expensive I might add)! Greed is the likely answer. Greed. They should have left well enough alone…..I am also turned off to the company themselves for out and out lying when I asked them honestly if a change had been made (it has most definitely changed, and they knew it when they answered me). Their distributor is even worse (Brands Of Britain), as they will dumb you down and gaslight you to the point of utter rudeness. We had been running around from store to store trying to locate what 8/14’s we could still find locally that have a fair amount of Ginger at the bottom, and then to our horror, we began to see that they must have made the complete changeover in the middle of making that batch, as some of the 8/14’s had just little slivers of Ginger at the bottom instead of at least a somewhat substantial amount in other Ginger Beers from Fever Tree that still shared the expiration date of 8/14. I don’t think these people even understand what quality control even means! It means that you can expect to receive the same quality you have come to love from a product, not that every time you go to buy that product, it’s vastly different from the one before it, and so on! Crazy! Just crazy! They are also not very sharp business people. Not everyone is going to take the time and trouble to make calls to the United Kingdom, and to Brands Of Britain in California to give them this very important feedback, and make them aware of a very off batch that expires 7/14 that they have running around that should probably be recalled at the very least. Most people will just toss what they have out and move on over to another brand (others are already doing this). They won’t take the time to call. If they do make a call, it will only be to the place they purchased it from, and not the company or the distributor, and so the buck stops there. We have spent a fortune ordering in every Ginger Beer that you can name, think of, or that was seen in a professional reviewers list for Ginger Beer reviews. We don’t want junk that is made with High Fructose Corn Syrup, and we wanted one that used lots of fresh Ginger. After spending a small fortune and spending months trying desperately to find a replacement, we finally hit pay dirt. The closest to perfection that we could find (and it’s still not quite as perfect as Fever Tree’s original recipe once was) is “The Ginger People’s Ginger Beer Soda”. We tried many and that actually tastes more like Fever Tree’s version than any other, and has lots of fresh Ginger, which leaves a wonderful, spicy, burn and really makes you want to keep drinking more and more of it (may be even better than Fever Tree truth be told). It has lots of fresh Lemon in it much like Fever Tree, and just tastes clean and spicy. The caveat is that it’s even more expensive than Fever Tree, and that was already making a dent in our spending. It’s $50.00 a case instead of nearly $40.00, however the additional caveat is that most are selling it for nearly $75.00 a case to ship it to you, and it is not available through Amazon Prime. I almost didn’t even bother with it because that’s just too outrageous, but my need is great, and I was not drinking these just for pleasure.I found out that if you call a few grocery stores in your area, one or two will have access to it and can simply special order it in for you each month or whenever you need or want it. It will save you all that shipping money, but you just have to go pick it up. My husband picks it up for me now, and that’s a huge saving when you are getting at least two at a time. I saved nearly $60.00 for two cases doing it this way! Goya Ginger Beer was also a stand out and pretty delicious, but it is also $50.00 per case, and although it uses fresh Ginger Oil and Fresh Cayenne Oil and has a wonderful taste and burn to it, Goya uses High Fructose Corn Syrup, and that’s not what my body needs right now.As the older stock runs out on this, you will see less and less delirium out here with people raving about this Ginger Beer. Brace yourselves, if this was a daily beverage for you……..Footnote here: I uploaded a very clear picture of how much Ginger these used to have inside each bottle (the original recipe) next to a bottle of the current 8/14’s, and pictures don’t lie….people do. It can be found under customer uploaded pictures right above the reviews for these. The difference is so vast that it’s almost startling. It used to have inches of pure, peppery, Ginger Root, and as you can see from my uploaded picture here, the change is rather significant. The 10/14’s are the worst, as they have no sediment and no clouds at all…..none. They are mere shells of what they once were….P.S. We have spoken to several store managers and they are seeing for themselves how vastly different each batch is. They merely go to the mixer aisle of their store with me on their cell phone and let me know if they have any of the good stuff left that still has ginger pieces in it or not (this is so much work for both my husband and I, and it’s like shopping for a discontinued product for God Sakes)!I don’t know what they were thinking in doing this! Why touch anything here! It was perfection, and we are being charged handsomely for the privilege of drinking it! One store has had several complaints asking them what happened to the formula of Fever Tree Ginger Beer, as if they know (poor guy), but they are merely a grocery store (frustrating for them and frustrating for us). I can tell you what one told me by phone yesterday. He said that they only had (1) 8/14 in stock (explains why some are still raving, as there is some of the older stock still being sold out there) and the 8/14’s are the oldest expiration date that still has something that even somewhat resembles the original formula in it, although again, not even a third of the Ginger it used to have, Half of the batches that expire 8/14 only have a few pieces at the bottom now, whereas the other half has enough to give it a little bite, and resembles more of what people are used to. Crazy stuff going on here (they haven’t changed a thing my ass)! I have never seen anyone do business this way. Ordering this through Amazon Prime would be a crap shoot completely now.The manager of one store said “how odd, the 10/14’s I have in front of me have nothing in them and are quite clear, but I am holding one 8/14, and it is somewhat cloudy and different.” He said “no wonder I am getting so many calls about this!” He admitted that he never bothered to really look before, as he doesn’t drink Ginger Beer period, and they get so busy in that store. He tried to entice me into buying some of the other brands that they carry, but I know all about the other brands, and the only other one that is somewhat worthy is Goya (they do carry it). Goya is a favorite for many, but if they only used cane sugar, Goya would be perfect, as it is spicy, and loaded with lots of fresh ginger and ginger burn.If you care anything about this drink and want to see it go back to it’s original formulation, you have to take a moment out of your day and go to Fever Tree’s web site. It will not cost you anything to simply email them about how unhappy you are with the change. It takes only a moment to call or email Brands Of Britain in California, and on the web (this should be the second communication that you make, as contacting Fever Tree directly is far more important).Let them know that you are not happy with what has happened to this Ginger Beer (be prepared however, as they gaslighted the hell out of me, and made me think I was the only one who had called them, and that no problem exists). Both Fever Tree and Brands Of Britain swore up and down that no change had been made! Who am I going to believe, them or my husband and mine’s lying eyes and taste buds! If nobody takes the time to complain, we won’t stand a chance in seeing them realize the error of their ways and go back to what we had been buying for years! My personal hope is that they will get so many complaints on this that they will go back to the original recipe, and one day we will go into one of the few stores that carry this locally, and see bottles brimming with fresh ginger again (and not just a few pieces either, but what I uploaded in my picture here at Amazon, which shows just how much ginger they used to put in these)!Fever Tree has their own Facebook page also. You cannot start a thread, but you can pick the most current one, and respond there to let them know how you feel! I am sure Brands Of Britain has a Facebook Page too! We are customers after all, and have a right to honest feedback!Pray that they wake up and spend less time disliking this review as well as other reviews from people out here, who have noted the drastic change in these, and focus on what’s truly important, and that’s pulling their head out of their asses, and recognizing that a terrible mistake has been made here. They need to take that energy, and restore the original recipe immediately, although by then (and that’s only if they awaken) many will have moved on to other brands, and won’t care much anymore one way or another. In case you were wondering what the new ones taste like, which are crystal clear and have no sediment at all, imagine unpleasant, watered down, Grapefruit juice with the smell of sweat (I wish I could say I was kidding). They are actually disgusting now (and Fever Tree could care less)! It’s a pain in the ass, and crazy expensive, but we are now driving an hour in each direction to a store that is special ordering us in “The Ginger People’s Ginger Beer Soda” as they are what this once was, only they have even more of a lingering burn, with a much more intense shot of pure ginger. They are crazy for what they charge (we pay $50.00 a case for (24) 12 ounce bottles), but at least they deliver the goods! A rich, peppery, lingering burn of real Ginger with only the finest of ingredients. It goes to show how far people are willing to go or spend to get quality! You should have just raised the price Fever Tree instead of selling your soul here!

    Best ginger beer

This is the best ginger beer brand – not too sweet, strong ginger flavor, and drinkable with or without a mixer. My only negative is the sugar content is very high and these come in tiny cans.
